BUDDHA WITH HUMAN HT. Thich Tam Chau PART I IV.- HUMAN VALUES "My true worth makes me a great man, not a position that I accidentally obtained". Conwell Human worth is a faithful reflection of one's status, after it has become a reality. For Buddhism, it has always recognized the special value of the human being, a value associated with its form and characteristics. But, only when people know how to comply with the true meaning of people. Contrary to the general comment on the human issue, we have realized that man has a special place in the universe, as well as in Buddhism. Having a special status must of course have a special value. But that value does not have to be searched far away, just found on the words, thoughts and deeds of people. Based on the Khe Kinh said, that value can be summarized in the following headings: 1.- VALUE MORE THAN ALL TYPES "Nothing is as valuable as the value of knowing worthy of one's position". The Uba Sac Sutra says: "Of all species, humans are more qualified, such as in terms of wisdom. Especially the human situation is not as miserable as hell, not too happy like heaven, and not stupid. like animals". Indeed, that mysterious doctrine is a testimony that enables us to realize the true worth of man: Human intelligence is superior to all other species. a society that is organized in all aspects, knows how to use human power or invent machines, cultivate land, cultivate crops, bring abundant economic resources, to provide for people; know how to weave clothes, make medicine, to keep the body from cold and from sickness; know how to build a tall house to shelter from the sun and rain; know how to build trains for convenient travel; know how to make laws to protect life and bring security to society. And, there are many items necessary for society that are derived from human intelligence. Therefore, the ancients said: "Human spirit is all things", maybe even from the ancient people have directly recognized that value. According to Buddhist teachings, this world is just one of countless other worlds and is in the same law as: becoming, staying, breaking, empty, and rhythmic in the boundless being. According to the causal force under the Buddha's enlightened eyes, those worlds, the mundane worlds, can be divided into six categories: 1/ Heaven: (Deva, Sura): The relative world has one form. good nature, pure climate, natural products, people are beautiful, live longer than humans, and have many pleasures. 2/ Asura: The world has a form, a body, a life and needs almost like heaven, but is angry, warlike, and passionate. 3/ Man (Manusya): The world is average, not very beautiful, not very ugly, not very happy, not very miserable and not very long, not very young. 4/ Hell (Narska, Niraya): The world suffers the most. All forms, necessities and tools are filled with suffering. 5/ Preta: The world is full of bad things, worn out, always hungry, not enjoying a bit of satiety, happy. . 6/ Tiryagyoni: There are creatures in the world who suffer from passing bodies, eat hard, carry heavy loads, are stupid, ignorant and sometimes have to give their lives to other animals. . Therefore, We look at the generality of human society, if compared with all species, it proves that humans have an average value, although in that situation it sometimes encroaches on the domain of other species because individual thoughts and behaviors. Let's create our circumstances and improve ours. Having a human body is caused by human karma, and the Buddha taught: "Now that I have a human body, I have previously practiced the five commandments: 1/ Do not kill: All living beings have a body due to form, a false mind. All of us have consciousness, know how to eat and drink, know how to enjoy life, and are afraid of death, so from animals to small insects we should not kill. sentient beings 2/ Do not steal: Having a determined body to work to get things to nourish and preserve life is a common principle of everyone. As a general rule, we should not steal from someone who belongs to that person. And sometimes it depends on your circumstances to give alms to others. 3/ Don't commit adultery: Having been born from craving, of course it continues, giving rise to craving, so there must be a family, except for those who are determined to get rid of it. Having a family is to distinguish it from family on issues of physiology and happiness, so no one should commit adultery. That is, should not commit adultery but must keep pure conduct. 4/ Don't lie: Together in the same society, living in the same situation to live and have to live, so no one should use lies, fabricating, misleading and cruel words. Otherwise, Use only words that are honest, straightforward, loyal, and gentle. 5/ Do not drink alcohol: Alcohol is a strong stimulant, it consumes the body, causes mental confusion, mental confusion, or generates dishonesty, so we should not drink alcohol. If you don't drink alcohol, your mind will be sharp enough to control your body and mind and do what is right. Those are the karmas that are created to be born into the human world. It is a value in human behavior that is enough to ensure that the form and characteristics of human beings are relative to all other species. Because, if there is no karma, of course there is no person. There is no human being who is more intelligent than all things and is in an average situation, so "karma is the driving force for all". Thus, the value of man lies in his position. Man is the center of all beings because of karma, circumstances, and wisdom. We are a part of human society, we must accept that special value and we will prove in our daily actions to be "above and above all". So, every day we should remember the saying: "Come here and look straight into your path". 2.- VALUE IN HUMAN SOCIAL SOCIAL "My body is a member of society, so each of my actions must also help the activities of society." respond to the blessings of the Buddhas" Humans cannot live alone, but must live together with society and must direct their energies towards building society. Since society is an aggregate of many individuals, Therefore, the activities of the individual are related to the group. All social organizations are created by people and are created for people. Human capacity dominates the entire society. Mr. Ho Thich wrote: "Society's life, regardless of whether it's horizontal or vertical, is like an organized machine. In terms of vertical, social history doesn't stop. The former influences the latter, the latter. The latter affects the next. Without our ancients and countless ancients, how could there be you and me today, how could there be people in the future. Without those countless individuals, there would be no history. But, without history, those countless individuals wouldn't have that shape. In horizontal terms, society's activities affect each other. The activities of society are all thanks to the activities of individuals, no matter how different, they cannot escape the influence of society. If there is no such society, then surely there is no such you and me. If it weren't for the infinite number of friends and me, society would not be like that.” Thus, we realize in theory as well as in practice, whether time is finite or infinite, human beings still have a value. especially in human society.A person cannot lack food, clothing, shelter, medicine, education, and supplies. One cannot do enough to provide for himself. Therefore, the President of the French Buddhist Friendship Association also wrote: "The life of others is always in contact with our own life. "Each action is a benefit. Indeed, Every human action is a tool that is related to human society, whether it is good or bad. People can make society become a flourishing society, mankind is happy, and can also turn into a decadent society, people suffer. "A person who does benevolence, that benefactor has a flourishing influence for the whole country" is indeed the advice of the Saint with full meaning and benefit for human society that is not thought of as grapes. So, with the value and position of man in human society is the central value, the value of his owner. When people understand human values, respect human values, and take humanism as their masters, human impact will be the evolutionary ability to help human society move towards civilization. True peace. Okay, before you feel that value, Let us imitate the words later of a Western Buddhist, to make a maxim for us: "Man renews himself, or rather man always renews himself in all times". 3.- VALUE IN EVOLUTION "Wisdom is a career" The Eight Great Human Enlightenment Sutra is an ever-changing and progressive use, driven by wisdom. Khe Kinh says: "Humans progress and evolve more quickly. Reality shows us that man is very rich in progressive and evolutionary ideas. As long as man is still living in the primitive age of barbarism Eating feathers in holes, wearing leaves to cover the body, this era, experienced in layers of time, has brought to society a flourishing material civilization, although there are still many shortcomings in it. Because of that evolution, has helped people to enjoy a happier life, a new form, live closer to each other... But, that evolution has not avoided the lack of truth, making itself become a reality. disguised degeneration, the embodiment of lust, becomes a formidable destructive force in life, the right to human life, which the truth has proved and has brought many lamentations from the bottom of the hearts of doctors, Western philosophy: _ "If the scholars of the last century had worked hard to study the human soul, civilization would not have had a crisis situation like today". "All crises in modern times are caused by the spiritual failure to catch up with the material on the path of human progress." . Therefore, Buddhism always respects the value of human progress and evolution but, must be an evolutionary value that is based on true understanding and right view. Only true understanding guides right action, righteous action leads to the results of true evolution forever. I am a human If people have understood from time to time that: I am human. We are a member of human society, living together on the human earth, having the same values and having a close relationship with each other in all aspects. We have to teach each other, help each other to progress. We bring our ideas and initiatives to form tools for deforestation, mountain mining, mining, and land to bring economic prosperity to society. I create many modern things to replace human strength, reduce the burden, enjoy the happiness and freedom... well, There is no longer class struggle, no more miserable prisons, no more nuclear weapons and hydrogen gas to kill, making death and magic beyond imagination like today, but still wearing the colors "Democracy, peace, freedom, happiness?" "If you want to calm the world, please calm down first!" It is a profound warning to those who have unjust ambitions that the Buddha said in the Sutras. Thus, we have recognized the value of human evolution in Buddhism. That value is not a fantasy, it is based on the actions of people who know how to approach the group with true benefits. So, here we can say: "The person who has left the heart of filth and desolation is liberated and made progress". In short, only human beings have such special values. That value is based on the successive act of man's creation, but it is not inclined to pleasure or pain, but it must be as Mr. A. Huxley said: "One thing is asked of us is to "become" person "... a person you should understand is neither god nor devil." With the same value, it will bring to society a joyful situation, true happiness, due to the power of man, has been demonstrated in the advice: "The world is like a mirror reflecting your image... people will smile at you, if you smile...". And, that is the only way to show the status of Buddhism to people as Mr. Sinett wrote: "Buddhism respects free will with all its dignity in a very wide range of activities and with the limits of complete sovereignty".END=NAM MO SHAKYAMUNI BUDDHA.( 3 TIMES ).WORLD VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST ORDER=BUDDHIST DHARMA WHEEL GOLDEN MONASTERY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.AUSTRALIA,SYDNEY.3/7/2022.VIETNAMESE TRANSLATE ENGLISH BY=VIETNAMESE BUDDHIST NUN=THE WOMEN OF THE SAKYA CLAN CHAN TANH.
